Deacons

At SPC our team of Deacons provides the first line of support for our church, relying on their parishes to provide additional support for the community. Our Deacons have 4 ministry areas:

Visitation Ministry—for those who are ill in the hospital or at home, our deacons coordinate support. This includes visitations as well as meal assistant. We are a community that loves to care for each other, pray for each other, and make delicious meals to aid in recuperation and assist those in need.

Communion & Baptism Ministry—this ministry provides communion to those who are unable to attend church, providing a cherished link to the broader community. This ministry also provides the worship elements for communion and baptism and serves as the congregation representative in welcoming an infant, child or adult into our family of faith through baptism.

Memorial Reception Ministry—the death of a loved one is never easy. Our memorial reception ministry aids families by providing the coordination for the reception to ensure that there is time to celebrate in comfort the life of a loved one who died.

Communication Ministry—this ministry assists our normal church community communication with special mailings, honoring important dates, phone calls, and prayer list compilation.
