beyond our walls
Saratoga Presbyterian Church’s support for mission programs and missionary partners is guided by the charge to believers expressed in Christ’s Great Commission and Greatest Commandments, and by the Vision for International Mission of the Presbyterian Church in the USA (PCUSA).The Great Commission
“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.” (Matthew 28:19)
The Greatest Commandments
Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.” (Matthew 22:37-39)
“For I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in; I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me.” “…in as much as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.” (Mathew 25:35-40)
The Saratoga Presbyterian Church Missions Commission works to fulfill Christ's Great Commission by:
