Over the course of the year, you will find a variety of opportunities for you to grow personally and spiritually through classes, seminars, and discussion groups.

Six Lecture Series Started April 7, 2013:
Between the Testaments: God's Story Pauses
Sundays, 10:30-11:30, in the Fireside Room
Four hundred years elapsed between the end of the Old Testament and the beginning of the New Testament. This lecture series continued May 5th on the topic of "The Old Testament Canon and the Apocrypha". What is the Old Testament canon? What is the Apocryphy, and why should we know something about it? These are among the questions that Lois Rew addressed in this Lecture #4. Listen to this fourth lecture with the link at the bottom of this page as we seek to understand that period of history. Also, supplementary PowerPoint slides are provided as well to help you visualize while listening to the audio. Lois is a wonderful teacher having served as a professor of English at San Jose State University. Everyone is welcome to attend any and all of the remaining two lectures: May19 & 26. A set of CD will be prepared containing all 6 lectures: one set will be an audio-only CD in .mp3 format; a second set will be a PowerPoint CD with each lecture in .pptx format that contains PowerPoint slides along with the audio.
